The problem

The founders had a signed pre-seed check and a term sheet deadline that required a working product demo, not mockups. They had no engineering team yet and a Figma file that had not been touched in three weeks.

What we shipped
  • Supplier and buyer onboarding flows with document verification
  • Stripe Connect for split payments and payout scheduling
  • A matching engine for listings against buyer requests
  • Admin dashboard for manual review during the trust-building phase
  • Deployed to your cloud with CI/CD, with a Postgres backend on Supabase
Outcome

The founders came to us four weeks before their fundraise deadline with a validated idea, no code, and a wireframe. We scoped the absolute minimum to prove the transaction loop worked end to end: a supplier could list, a buyer could book, and money could move between them without a human in the middle.

We cut everything that was not on that loop. No notification preferences, no advanced search, no multi-currency support. Those went into a documented backlog for after the raise, not into the sprint.

The build ran as three parallel tracks: onboarding and identity, the matching and booking engine, and payments. AI agents produced the first implementation of each against a written spec; two senior engineers reviewed every pull request before merge, with particular attention to the payment flows where a bug would cost real money.

The product went live with real suppliers eleven days after kickoff, and the founders ran their investor demo on the live product rather than a staged one. They closed their round two weeks later and brought us back on retainer to build out the roadmap we had shelved.
